Ship your luggage ahead companies have popped up since 2000, and with having to travel with more than you can check in and carry, you can have your luggage sent ahead. There are about 6 companies I came across and the one with the best rate is Baggage Quest. Check them out. They ship international from US to any country (within permitted regulations), overseas to US, and non-US country to non-US country. Rates vary for one way and round trip ship. Highly recommend.
